2019-2020 Tryout and Season Information

Where:  West Jupiter Recreation Center 6401 W Indiantown Rd, Jupiter, FL 33458

Cost: $20

We are excited to release our teams and tryout dates for the upcoming 2020 Travel Volleyball Season.   We plan on all teams playing in 8 tournaments, some being National Qualifiers.
Our plans include two 11u, two 12u teams and 2 13U teams.  The 10/11u local team will be our version of Travel Lite, as they will play 4-5 local tournaments.   The 11u National Team will play local and away tournaments in Orlando and Tampa.  The two 12u and 13u teams, on the other hand, will both be full season teams and play in the same local and away tournaments.
Below are the teams and their respective coaches, as well as the tryout dates.  The Head Coaches for the 10/11U and second 13U team will be released in early July.
You will need to bring a tryout form and waiver form.   If you cannot make the designated tryout time below, please contact me immediately at jvc@jtaa.org.

All players are required to attend a tryout in order to be offered a spot on a team. To attend a tryout all players must have a current USAV membership, fill out a JVC Tryout form, sign a JVC waiver, and pay the $20 tryout fee.

At the tryout, each player will be evaluated by the JVC coaching staff, and players will be selected based on these evaluations. JVC’s preference is to have 9 players in each team. However, some teams may have 8 or 10 players. Some players may be called to come back for a second tryout.

After tryouts, players will be contacted by email within 1 week, and will either be offered a position on a team, asked to come back for a second tryout, or notified that they have not made a team. If offered a position at that time, the player has 48 hours to accept the position. If the position is not accepted within 48 hours, the position may be withdrawn, and offered to another player.

Once a player has accepted an offered position, a $400 deposit is required within one week. This deposit will be used toward the purchase of uniforms, and will count toward the overall cost of the 2019-2020 USAV Season.

Away tournaments are “Stay and Play”  The tournament assigns the Club a hotel and players are required to stay in our assigned hotel.
