Alex Oliveira

This summer Alex will be returning his talents to Jupiter Elite for his 6th season with the club.
Alex is coming back to Jupiter where he found success for the 5 years that he had been here. A head coach for Jupiter’s travel and AAU programs from ages 11-18 year olds, as well as working with all the players from every team. He was part of the National Championships in 2015 and 2017 with both teams finishing top 18 in the country.

University of Florida, University of Tampa, Stetson University, Marquette University, Warner University, University of North Carolina Asheville,
Rollins University, Johnson & Wales University,Warner University, Marist College, Eckerd College, Indian River State.
Before coaching at Jupiter Elite, Oliveira started coaching in college at the local YWCA, and as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Men’s Volleyball team at King University training mainly middle blockers and specializing in hitting technique while assisting with practices. After that he has a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Harris Middle School in Spruce Pine North Carolina. He had a lot of success as the Blue Devils had their best season in history and made it deep into the playoffs. Since Moving back to Florida he has been an Assistant Coach for Suncoast and Dreyfoos High Schools.
Prior to his hiring the Brazilian native played 4 years of college volleyball and Track & Field at King University in Bristol, Tennessee. Oliveira was a four year starter as a Middle Blocker and Opposite Side hitter. He is among the top 6 in school history in career games played, kills, blocks, and hitting percentage with .342. Alex graduated in 2011 after 4 years with a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media and Marketing.
Before Playing in college Alex was a 3 year starter at Park Vista High School in Lake Worth, Florida (Only played 3 years of high school volleyball). Oliveira was the first player from the boys volleyball team to receive an athletic and academic scholarship in school history. He was a 3x first team all county player.  Many notable accolades throughout his high school career include, Team MVP, Outstanding Hitter, Best Blocker, Outstanding Sophomore, Outstanding Junior, and Outstanding Senior Award.
